I keep getting private message notifacations but nothing shows up..

and many times I try to navigate the forum something keeps poping up from the forum trying to get me to download it..

Is it possible the forums has been hacked ... because its acting very weird

I dont know Shawn but it keeps poping up and then my computer drags really bad ... its like if I come to a download url when I try to veiw new posts ... it prompts me to save file!

It will keep happening until I close all browsers a few times and it only happens on DP

I have none of those two problems.

But I have strong stuff on this computer that hates any popups, stuff that wants to download, etc.
Every time I want to download something, I have to put in my okay in the nice box that appears.

Strange thing happened today to one of my sites.
Earlier this morning, before wife and I took off to Des Moines, this site came up great.
Then just before supper time, nothing but the index files (anyone going to the site before I fixed it could have downloaded a bunch of good stuff for free).
Went to cpanel and poof...the index page had disappeared.
    So reloaded the index page.
Anyone know how this could happen>

Nothing has changed with the site itself. I would suspect some sort of spyware/adware infection or something.

Those are antivirus programs. Run some anti-spyware programs: AdAware, Spybot Search & destory, or Windows Defender.

Spybot works great for me. Pretty much catches everything and wipes it clean!

I also use the Online Full Scan at night from Trend ... it is good but it takes a long time ... I let it run at night

you can check for spyware/maleware and viruses for free and it even removes them no charge like others do to get you to try .... finds them but charges you to remove

the link to scan is www.housecall.trendmicro.com << I recommend

it ain't a virus or a spyware somewhere somehow when a server had a multiple request and having a surge of processing at some point, the apache application can't parse the request and it tends to just send the unparse php file for download.

    Hope it Helps
