I get my domain as referral

Whenever I'm on Google Analytics checking any of my websites (got a couple of them up) I can't properly see where my visitors are coming from.

I think this is because I'm forwarding my domain to another site. So people go to my domain adress and then they get forwarded to the site and this makes google see my domain as a referral. So whenever I check my referrals I can only see two types - direct and whatever the name of my domain is. How can I go around this?

Are you forwarding with a meta refresh? Shouldn't happen if you've a 301 server side redirect

Sorry, I'm not very familliar with these terms. What's a meta refresh, and what's a 301 server side redirect? :p

I get the same problem in my HubSpot analytics tool. Does anyone know how to fix that?
