whenever i move a post to Trash or delete a page,,i later on get an ERROR 404 warning from my wordpress 404 monitor showing those previosly deleted items..how can i delete these files permanently..do i have to delete them from my server side??..if so which directory will i find deleted items??...i really need to fix this because i noticed google also crawls those same directories and show 404 error in google webmaster tools...So i need help guys..Useful replies whill be appreciated..Thank You
You probably get a warning because spiders are still trying to crawl your site. There is no proper way to do it, unless you set redirection. To permanently delete posts, I recommend you to delete revisions and autosaves as well. Those can be easily accessed via phpMyAdmin.
