I get 10k SE aday but my site is link farm or is it?

    Hi, first of all.. am a noob when it comes to SE but have had good luck in ranking high for the keywords I want. I run a site which basicly just contain one page with links to other webpages. Would'n this classified as link farm? I have been running this site for 3 years now and have not been penalize for anything. I rank top 3 for many good keywords, most of which is picked up keyword from the body text.

    The site setup is something like.

    Title (link)
    Site discription:

    My site however only list relevent links and the discription is heavy on keywords and also revelent to the site topic. All links are listed by hands, there is no automation at all. It's 100% static page, I guess my question is would my site considered a link farm?

    If you're ranking... no.

    And, based upon the description I would have to say no also. Link farms are generally spread out in terms of subject matter.

    If there is a single topic all the links are about then it is not a link farm. If anyone can get thier link on it regardless of the topic of thier site then it would be a farm.

    With out seeing your page I can only guess, but it sounds like it would not be classified as a link farm.

    It would be classified as a link farm if you had maybe like 100+ links

    Link farm has nothing to do with the number of links of the page, although you are unlikly to recieve much benefit from a page with over 100 links on it.

    A link form is a page that anyone can add thier link to. It is obvious by the fact that the links are unordered and can be of any subject.

    Normally the outgoing links on a higher quality page will all be on roughly the same subject.

    i think if you have 200+ links on one page , it may be a link farm .

    If you are not 80% <a> tag, and you are not trying to promote other 10-100sites from your site, I guess you are safe.

    Hi,

    Think that if your pages with links have a lot of descriptions and percent of text in descriptions is higher then percent of words in <a> tags then you have not a link farm. Also such site must have only relevant links on one page.

    :p you guys are funny, am not going to post my URL since its an adult site which I don't think am allow to post it here and second people are just going to copy it since it does indeed works well on the SE.

    I am confused of what I read about Link Farms. Coz I have join one of the directories that offers link exchange like linkmarket,linkalizer.Is this directories are link farms?
