most likely there is one piece of the file missing, you just gotta wait it out and hope someone has it.

Another way is to use the recovery if it is RARed.

I`m on the same opinion that Win7 is better than WinVista.
Windows 7 is using lower resources- ram, cpu and at all is best Windows I`ve ever use. :)

XP will be supported for years to come. When XP was released, Win 98 lasted ages -you could probably even still find some people using it today.

Additionally, XP is still more stable than windows 7. Not to mention that it uses less system resources.

What tons of features are you referring to?

DirectX 11 is the only reason I would think of getting windows 7 right now, even then theres not a huge difference between dx9 and dx 11. Except for a few tiny details.

Full marks to the win7. I love its encryption facility which never required a third party external software to protect my personal files.

It is good to see Microsoft introduce a good operating system. Its has many functionalities but I admire the calculator. It has all functions that you really want to use that is your daily routine and some of them are for highly qualified persons.

The latest update - I tried using Windows 7, got out to some hardware person, updated my RAM to 2 GB.

Then told him to install windows 7 on my Lapi. I thought it would real good. But when i tried to install all of my previous software it showed me some error messages.

I think the old software that we were using are not compatible with Windows 7.

Unfortunately i got back to Windows XP. :(

Still i am happy and will backup the advantage of XP over windows 7.

Windows 7 is a huge enhancement over Windows Vista & Windows XP, and it is well worth the upgrade from Vista. The new and improved features make your system fast and you will spend less time searching for items that you have misplaced.

Windows 7 offers the advantages of Media Center and its ability to share pictures, movies, TV shows and videos on systems and TVs throughout the house.

    Windows 7 is a worth…

Dude that's probably because your xp is 32 Bit and your Windows 7 was 64 Bit. You just need to find 64 bit versions of those softwares if there are or install a Win7 32 bit.

That shouldn't be any problem. As you can see here, win 7 still support 32 bit software from win XP. You can find there are 2 type of program files inside your C directory. One is called program files and another is called program files(x86). Basically any 32 bit software which are supported in win XP previously will be installed inside program files(x86) folder. And any latest software that support win 7 should come in 64bit and it will be installed inside normal program files. For me now, i dont have any issues installing all my 32 bit software inside win 7 since previously i'm also using win xp professional for my programming task.
In fact, microsoft did not release win 7 in 32 bit anymore since all the hardware nowadays is quite high end (correct me if i wrong, i got this statement during Win 7 pre-launched ceremony) .
