    But not much . most of the smf skins look like a decade old themes. .

    Look at the themes available for phpbb3 and mybb, these two have good themes than smf.

    Not exactly. Most phpbb3 themes are generic and all look the same. While myBB has a small theme community and is building up there most tend to look like the default.
