i found on page optimzaion is still important to rank.

    i found good on page optimzaion can contribute more to rank in google serp than 3 pr4 backlinks. what do you think?

    Yes, but the amount that it contributes would be dependent on how competitive your search terms are.

    I'm not sure about it's weight against PR links but it's VERY important yes. I'd say the 2 go together for best results. As either one alone is kind of a wasted effort.

    Sure its important. Taking note that google is fighting hard against paid links, so on page optimization is key component! Though you also need to have good content thats matches the optimization!

    I think one should do one page optimization first before submitting links.
    If your page is optimized well and have quality and unique content you can get lots of natural backlinks. May be without doing link building you can get in top in SERP's

    I done up a page just to prove this, its top 10 for about a dozen keyphrases with over 100 million results. It has no backlinks and that single page pulls about 250 uniques per day.

    So yes of course its still important.

    On-page optimisations are very useful for SERPs but all in all its just a component of many that need to be achieved to rank high for competitive keywords

    Yes, content has a big score in SERP. The real purpose of ranking a site is the content because search engine want to give the best and relevant results to users.

    sure, if other condition is the same, site A have 3 pr 4 backlinks with little on page optizmation, and site B have good on page optimzation with no backlinks. which site rank higher in serp?

    i agree with CanadianEh and the other.
