I never thought of this. I bet a few scammers have done though. You're certainly doing the right thing by trying to get the money to it's rightful owner - not many would!
Beware, She may be knowing ways to draw "Her money + Your money" from your Paypal Account on one fine Morning (Just Kidding).
I once got 50 Euro worth of call credit for no reason because of somebodys fat fingers...You can't really refund that though so I just used it
You should definitely refund the money. I am surprised Paypal does not the the option for you to refuse the money in case things like this happen.
We just got it worked out..... It was a legitimate seller in Indiana. she just opened her ebay store....She never bought anything from me on ebay. She just put my email address as her paypal address? very wierd!!
well, I remember getting some measly donations for my free CD-ripping app ( http://fire.50webs.com ) a year ago... Thats the free money I got...not nowadays though, as the project is not maintained now.
I once got $250 added to my paypal account i was unsure why i contact the person who sent no reply for 1 month i contacted paypal about it as well someone gave my paypal details for that phones people sell but no idea why they used my details it all sorted itself out after i got a reply from the person lol
Umm I might be careful about sending this money to the person selling these items.. Sounds like it could be a scam to me. Ie. She made a mistake, you send the money to her, and all of a sudden all these buyers start filing claims that they didn't receive their goods. What account will PayPal refund their claims from? Not the person you forwarded the money to, YOURS. I'd call PayPal ASAP.
I once had to ask my wife where she got the 100K that she deposited to our bank account. She had not. Some customer of the large chain bank with which we do business had made a deposit in a diffrenet state and it went into our account. Easy come Easy go.
Wow, I never heard of this happening. I would chime in and say that the best route is going through PayPal to resolve the issue. Because as someone pointed out if there is a dispute it could have gone to your account AFTER you refunded the money. That would be a nightmare. This is a good notice to anyone who maybe would've considered not returning the money and working with PayPal directly to resolve the issue.
