Hi, I used WordTracker and found a 4-words keyword phrase (with "") which had KEI is 400000 and 6 competitors only and 1500 searchs daily in Google. Should I trust those results? Should I go on with this keyword phrase? If I do good SEO and my site lists at 1# in Google for it, how many visitors I can expect daily? Pls give me some advice. Thanks.
Competition 6, searches 1500 per day? #1 for that phrase and a good page title can bring 50% or more of those searchers to your site. Try to confirm your numbers first, they might just show some temporary bug in your research software or the Google SERPs. How are the results without ("" "") is more important, as the nº of searches usually refers to both.
Here are the result for the keyword above without ("") KEI: 0.9 24h: 1500 Competitors: 2540000 What should I do next?
I would double check the daily searches by using the Overture keyword selector tool. If they are real number the keyword is going to be awesome, but I have found keywords that returned false numbers. Once I was ranked first is Google for 'pet tracking' - I went after it because WordTracker said it was searched for 20000+ times per month. I got about 5 hits per day from it. I started using Overture and the Google Adwords tool to double check and I've had a lot better luck since.
+1 for cross checking. I've had phrases consistently turn up high in the Wordtracker reports that don't get jack in reality.
Well 1500/day 2.5 million competition is still not too bad. I usually start to be interested in a search term when the KEI is 1.0 or bigger but your 0.9 are close to that. It really depends on your SEO abilities (I'd have no trouble to achieve at least a top 10 with that competition) and your search term. Anyway first double and triple check the visitor potential. What was said before is important; sometimes you get wrong numbers!
1500 searches a day in Google, where would you get that figure? Google will not tell you how many times a day a key phrase is searched. What you have is probably the Overture searched per month...
