The Value depends on many factors

knowing the word would help of course

    before you post it

many would suggest you acquire it/the domain name in all available top level .thisnthat's you can before you do so (which is possibly/probably one of those factors involved in the valuation process (stats can help also) and on how the word is searched is also a known possible/probable factor)

Not worth a whole lot in most cases. I have several of these, I doubt they'd be worth anything more than reg fee. .biz isn't highly sought after.
Decent candidate for developing and selling off.

Yep, I agree with longroad, also the biz extension has yet not in greater demand.

If anything develop the found domains. Many domains are so so valuable when reg them. But a lot more valuable when developed and with traffic and revenue.

I think recognizing is fine. But is probably not worth as much as the regular word Recognize. Will fetch less because of the prefixes or endings such as the -ing's, -ed's, pre-, de-, un- and so on.

how much do you think it is worth? By the way, you should know that it is very hard to find everyday dictionary word domain with the 3 big extention, .com, .net and .org.
the word "recognizing" is very popular in everyday usage.

    The operating question is:

Can this domain help bring people to a profitable website?

From a resale value, .biz sucks. From an SEO point of view, the TLD doesn't matter.
