This is a thread for those who like technology and robotics.

What are your thoughts on robots design and purpose?

How soon will they become a part of our everyday lives?

Any interesting story about a new robot, or a robot you've seen on a expo?

I think robots will take a long time for daily life. Because these are very costly & nobody can buy it.

Robots in the traditional sense of the word won't be in people's homes. What will happen is that your heating, cooling, microwave, refrigerator, stove, computer, phone, lighting, TV, cars, MP3 players, and EVERYTHING else will be connected together via the internet.

How about smaller cleaning robots and robots that could help us carry our groceries in supermarkets?

There are some projects related to that issue but we didn't cover them. Maybe we will, if those robots become commercialized.

Guys robots are already in your home. The washing machine is being manipulated by an AI technology already. It spins and spins.

How about military robots? I know it sounds like Anime, but the number of drones as well as sentries in development is significantly increased in past years.

Another subject i started before is robotic design. What are your thoughts on robots that try to look like humans?
