I flipped a site!!! Actually 2.

Well, this was my first attemt to fliping sites and I really started at $0.000

I was hounding the freebies section few months back and someone was getting rid of his domains at GD. I got one(ipkr.info). It was lying uselessly in my GD thereafter. I banged my phone bill last month and had to pay a lot.I was desperate to make some quick money.

    1. So I decided to start a proxy and earned $3 in a week. I hosted it with a fellow DP member Silverman for free, he's still offering free hosting to others(in case you want one).

After that week I decided to sell my proxy. So i sold it for $10.

    2. In that same week another DP member was getting rid of his domains and I got one(tintincollectibles.info). I got a free cpanel hosting from tigerhostbd.com and put a Wordpress powered ebay store. added a great theme and did my best to make it look cool.

Another DP member bought it for $15.

So i eventually made $25 out of nothing.in just one week.

Well, $25 may not be alot of cash but it can be scaled up easily.

My advice to n00bs: put your hard work. have imagination and creativity. and stay glued to the freebies section:D

in case anyone thinks that I am bluffing or lying then please check my iTrader. It has the link to sales thread.

Yeah, its good to see you getting things done quickly and effectively.
But yeah not only proxies but other niches can also be very effective in site flipping, just need hard work and some special skills.

that's great ..total $25 dollar profit. I haven't really flipped any of my sites - more concerned with getting them monetized, mostly because I do a lot of custom script work ..it's like they're my babies. You don't sell your children..at least not for cheap.

I had to sell them to cover my phone bill..If I had bought those domains then I would have thought thrice before selling but since i got it for free I had no qualms in selling them.

Off-topic; whats with the double posting?

Back on topic: I think you could have made more than the price you have sold it for within a week. There are many promotion techniques for proxies which are available for free (Major ones are Yahoo Answers, Proxy Lists, MySpace & Yahoo/Google Groups)

    Congratulations.

Now that you have that confidence, try to flip sites for $100+. It's easier than you thought. ;)

I did my best and submitted to topsites and groups. But my Ad placements were weak. It was the first time I was running a proxy.

Before I wanted to give you a good reply I just happened to check your previous posts. and then I saw that making such posts is your habit.

I was in urgency to pay my bill and being a student I get virtually no time to spend for my web ventures. But being this my first attempt at flipping I am glad.:D

$25 in a week is hardly anything to get excited about now is it?
Don't take that as a bad thing, because what you have done is excellent. Use your methods on more profitable things and then you will really be smiling :)

I think $25 in the start and without any investment is excellent. You are doing great dear rome9t9. I wish you luck to earn even more in future.

That's great. Well done for earning $25 by flipping sites. This is a great start. Some people never even earn $25 after years of being online.

You just can't get emotional about business, that's what I learned.

Now, making $25 may not be so difficult but keeping it going.... day in day out is another matter.

Anyway, good luck and don't spend it all buying sweets & toys, will you ;)
