My friend has been using paypal for 5 yrs and she's never had any problems with it before. Suddenly she can't use paypal service anymore and there's a message that in order to continue using Paypal, she has to reenter the 4-digit number. To tell you the truth, I feel this hard to believe. My question is: Is it possible that Paypal asks us to reenter the 4-digit number after 5 yrs of using Paypal service? Why does such a case happen? Have any of you experienced such a thing before?
Hi, I think you are talking about paypal verification. In order to use the full features, you have to verify your paypal account. You get a 4 digit expose code when you add credit card to verify your account.Hope you are talking about this 4 digit code. Thanks
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm talking about the 4 digit code for verification purpose. What I find it hard to believe is that this friend of mine has been using FULL FEATURE of paypal for the last 5 years (sending and receiving money) and suddenly she informed me that she can't do that again until she reenters another new 4 digit code for another verification purpose. Is it possible?
Yes it is possible. Always remember the credit card # which you used to verify the account. I had this experience and I contacted them saying I had cancelled that card. They then verified me with the bank account i had added... by asking for the last 4 digits of the bank account number
Its for the account holders safety. The are just protecting your account from possible unauthorized access.
