congratulations! I know how hard it is to stop, I quit in 2001 after about 40 years, and I feel a great deal better now. I don't get the chest pain or waik up hacking and caughing in the middle of the night like I used to do.

Ok so I took the hard route, "cold turkey", but is it right that I sit here 8 weeks on still desprateley wanting a "puff" on a cigarette?
Should it not be getting easier now?...cos its not...

Ok so some of the benefits are kicking in and helping me with this...but....OMG...will it EVER get better??????

Congrats! I hear that's really hard to do. Something that's worked for some of the ex-smokers I know has been incentive and support. For instance, a group of friends decided to quit together and call each other every time they were tempted to smoke. A friend of mine decided he would reward himself after not smoking for a month, 3 months, 1 year, etc. The longer he's gone without smoking, the better the incentive. He's working towards month 3! It's tough, but of course better for you in the long run.

Yep, those cravings can be a real trying time to deal with, that's for sure. However, as hard as it is, hang on and do the best you can not to give in to them. After all, it takes "just one puff" to get you right back to where you started from and, once you're there, "whoop"....there goes all your hard work right out the window.

Congratz to you on making it this far and good luck in keeping it up. :)

Congrats. I myself smoked once or twice, but it just never sticked. I really don't see anything good about smoking.

Congratz ! For some people it is hard, but unfortunately not on my case.
I just get rid of the cigarettes and that's it...
For those of you who still struggling to quit smoking, I can tell you this.. it is harder only on the beginning. After 2-3 months your feeling will be better :)

Congratulations! You can really be proud of yourself. I know how hard it is to stop, specially if you do ti cold turkey. I know very few people who succeeded that way, so lots of kudos to you! If you can do that, you can do a whole lot of other stuff too!

Well, I must say that you have taken a very important decision of your life by giving up smoking. Although I don't smoke but I know how hard it is to give up smoking.

    Just keep it friend.
