flippa is the only site I would consider buying a website from (just my opinion). Even then, my recommendation is to build a website you are passionate about and enjoy maintaining. If you don't, it is likely you'll burn out and won't reach the full potential you have.

I totally agree, don't get me wrong you can make money with adsense, but truthfully it just seems like so much work at times....and you hear well go ahead and make 100 sites and you'll be making the big money. Well if you are on a budget that is going to cost a bit to get all those domains, with out any confirmation that you will succed.

$53 from clicks is a good start. If you keep providing good content, people will give you more links and your visitors will grow. If you're getting many more impressions than clicks, consider selling impressions on ADSDAQ or AdBrite. It seems to me that ADSDAQ has less specific categories so you'll get more general ads, while AdBrite's ads are from their general pool as well as people who buy specifically on your site... and both let you cascade ads so you can still offer AdSense in the mix in the same ad space.

2 months for $53 is ok "only if" you also got money from other thing apart from websites, otherwise you may need to reconsider how you monetize your site a bit (adsense-only is good if you have "alot of" websites and can pump them out fast enough.)

I takes time. For me it must have taken about 1 year before I started making a sizeable amount with Adsense.

What scares me about adsense, Is that it can be yanked from you at anytime. My clickbank is not converting at all.

It takes some time before you can start making money with AdSense. It may seem forever sometimes, but it's possible after all.

    Hi flydali,

Don´t consider yourself that you have failed. It´s NOT over till YOU win:) You have shown persistence over 8 weeks in article marketing, blog comments and adsense. Thats more effort than most new internet marketers will put in. Don´t give up the methods you have tried may all work but they are time consuming. I´ve been there done that. It can be frustrating when you see little results. Niche research, keyword research, building websites, seo, writing articles, affiliate marketing have all a learning curve and it´s easy to get overwhelmed. I would recommend look for a method that suits you best and go for it. You should not try to be an expert in all areas.

    Regards,

    Hey mate,
I would like to back everybody up, 8 weeks is indeed nothing.
Some people are fighting for some success for years and years and they are still just hanging in there, despite not making any money.
However, and I don't like to be a downer, but internet marketing is not for everyone. Seriously, I see so many people, just jumping in there and chasing for some dime. Seriously, I know I'll be hated for saying this, but quitting is not always a bad choice. Please, I'm not discouraging you at all, I'd say keep trying (and 8 weeks is seriously nothing), but don't loose your head over some bits and bytes on the net.

Sharing something personal, when I first started out (and this was about 5-6 years ago) I compulsively obsessed about internet marketing. There was this whole world of opportunities in front of me, it seemed like everybody and their mother were making a fortune online. So I kept trying. I have some background in web development (PHP mainly), so I would lock myself in a room (8-9 hours a day), absorb anything and everything I could find, code and try to develop "money making systems". I lost some friends (and a girlfriend) in the process of it. If I had the opportunity to do it all again, I would probably choose not to.

I did make it in the end (there is some motivation for you) and am making a comfortable living right now, but it did take its toll... One day, without sounding cliché, it all just kinda clicked inside my brain. This wasn't due to some new technique, ebook, guide, you name it... It just happened. Excuse me for saying this, but it was kinda like reaching nirvana after years of intense meditation. So yeah...

One advice from me: 90% of stuff you read online (in regards to money making) is complete horse shit IMHO. Ebooks, internet money making universities (wealthy affiliate comes to mind) is all shit. Don't trust anyone online (not even me). Take it all with a grain of salt. The best thing you can do, in terms of education, is get yourself a site you are genuinely interested in and concentrate all your effort in pushing it to the top of google. Do not try to make money out of it, do not jump into any other new, hot niches/products/programs just concentrate all your effort on pushing your site to the top of google. Use any technique available, black hat (you will learn some stuff even if you get slapped by google), white hat, grey hat.

Once you figure out how to drive massive traffic to any online resource you will be ready and good to monetize it. Thats when its all gonna fall into place. Just stick to it.

Also, try to absorb all kinds of info. This forum is cool and all, but don't make it your sole hangout. Find some blackhat forums, SEO specific forums and all. Get the SEO techniques and apply them to your site. Just keep on fighting and most importantly do not loose your head in the process. Set yourself some timeframe, take breaks from internet marketing, you get it...

Anyhow, all the best to you mate, and send me a PM if you want, I'll be glad to help you out a bit (I won't charge you either, I promise, haha)

    Cheers

I think you should explore more options, as you know, especially on here, everyone is waiting for someone else to give them the method as to what they are using to make money. Its not as simple as that, you need to come up with your own way of doing business and not running off of another. Just because someone says that one technique worked for them well and it took them x amount of weeks or whatever, doesn't mean it will be the same for you. What a lot of these people arn't telling you is how long they've been setting up certain methods, or how many times they've failed, most of them just come to boast that their making money and your not. As if its some sort of competition.

Point is, keep looking around and please don't limit yourself to like 5-10 forums of the same kind of nature. You need to get on other forums and see what their talking about. The more that you learn what each of them are talking about and their needs and what not, the easier it will be for you to combine your knowledge of different niches and different methods to get the most you can from them.

Don't let the 8 weeks bug you or get you down, you've done a good job by sticking it out for that long - there's lots of people on here who've stayed for 4 days and then said forget it. That mentality just sends you back to the drawing board looking for easy money. And trust me, if there is easy money on the internet, it takes a very long time to get too, no one just falls into it unless of course their doing some shady which their not talking about. Also, hard work does pay off, but remember, its hard work with a hard working mind - you can't just slave all day writing articles and hoping their going to get picked up by people - you need to figure out how your going to target these articles, to what people, with what services, how often, and at what times are important.

Stick with it and you'll gain more knowledge, and if you don't get anything out of it for a year - that doesn't mean anything, what it means is that you now have a years worth of knowledge which someone else doesn't have which you can use to benefit you or even come up with your own services to sell.

Don't give up! They say the hardest money to make online is your first $1, and for 8 weeks of work $53 isn't too bad. Stick to it, learn from your mistakes and you could turn that into a lot more money.

I am going to give you an honest answer, no BS. I don't know how, all I know is that my backlinks went from 87 and jumped to 450 in a week. I am new at this game. I was so impressed with it, I decided to sell it.
