I Have my shopping cart built and it runs well for regular email customers and repeat customers. I have recently tried to get away from PPC, I started optimizing after a few weeks studying SEO, "this forum helped tremendously." I have gotten some key words listed number 1 nothing too exciting. I have optimised my site offline and what appears to be almost perfect by CEO software. I am nervous to launch as there are new keywords and text on the new so-called optimized page on my hard-drive. My site is climbing in the 3 major engines by 1-2 spots every 2-3 days it appears. Question should I leave it? launch the so-called optimized version? I hear about mirrors or other page copies, is that an ok practice in googles eyes? Please help? Steve
Hello, If you are confident enough that you will not lost current ranking after uploading the changes that upload it. or consult with any SEO expert to get batter suggestion.
No Guts No Glory Most advancements in SEO (or anything for that matter) are made by people trying new things. My advice would be to test out what you have (unless it is punishable). If it doesnt do so well roll it back to the old version or better yet try something new again.
Yeah I agree. Backup the current site, make the switch and let it ride for a month or two. If it drops in rank, rollback
Ok I Took the leap and totally re-launched the home page (but I did keep a copy). I left the other pages alone. Im noticing my homepage is not getting ranked From the old optimization new page has not been crawed yet) as the key words are competitive but my other pages like training video which are not as competitive key words have the decent ranking. Question I rent my shopping cart from Volusion and If I optimise that home page will it effect the other pages like video help, certain product pages? <
