You have a general forum...a name that isn't worth remembering and a - in your URL. MAkes it hard for people to even thing about coming back.

I just tpyed "d2" in google and even that keyword isn't unique.

You've already limited your traffic but not establishing a good anchor word. Your site is general as said above and therefore you won't get hits from SE from certain key words.

Design is different though. How much did you pay for that?

30 USD, and no i meant if someone has already registered on the site, and he types d in his firefox or IE my site will show up as he has already visited, so he wont forget the name.
And yes i know my PR is also 0 atm :S

I strongly suggest you use the conventional methods of gaining traffic. It will at least get you to PR1 or PR2 for free and then you can expand from there.

Pick up some keywords and fix them all over your site and other sites so that it ranks well.

If you get your backlinks on high PR sites then your ranking will increase. I'm not sure what you mean by active people but if you mean loyal members then you'll need to make sure your backlinks have good anchor text and are marketed on relevant sites to get quality traffic.

If you update your site regularly with new posts and stuff, your site traffic will increase but it is hard to have returning visitors.

I have a domain with a - in it. And got a lot of traffic for it when I had a forum on it. Much of the traffic was not from advertising either. But one of the words in the domain was articles. So that is my only guess due to traffic.

BTW if they are registering and than leaving is a common issue with many forums I believe. Retention is a key factor in keeping non active users. What things are you doing in order to keep the newly and regurlar users content and happy other than providing content?
