I don't rank for my number one keyword... Help!

I have been running a blog about BlackBerry devices for about two years now. There are thousands of posts, I get thousands of visitors per day, 60% or so from Google, however, I don't rank at all for my number one keyword... BlackBerry

I just don't seem to be able to figure it out. I rank well for every other keyword that I aim for and even keyword phrases containing the word BlackBerry, however, I don't even show up on the list for BlackBerry alone according to DP Keyword Tracker.

    What should I do?

build back links with the anchor text ya wanna rank for. Not much else ya can do. that is probably a pretty competitive key word I would think without even having to look...

Yep. Blackberry is indeed a very popular keyword. Over 62 million search results.
The fact that your domain name does not have blackberry on it also does not help.

If this way my site, I would do this way.

    Title: Blackberry Weblog - RIMarkable
Description: Blackberry webblog: Does your BlackBerry make you less independent?
Keywords: Blackberry weblog, unofficial blackberry weblog, official blackberry weblog.

As well as create an anchor text that says blackberry weblog at the top of every page in the site that points back to the homepage, not the index file but the .com.

This is just the basics, but I am sure it will help.

Eventhough you have many visitors to your site. It doesn't mean that you'll also get rank1 in search engine. They still considering the content of your site.

You are getting good traffic anyway. Just see if they are targetted or not.
If they are target audience then you should not loose sleep over not ranking well on Google. And just keep on the good work. you will eventually get there.

    Try keyphrase first.
using banless example, try "blackberry weblog"
