I don't know which dedicated server plan to choose

    Hello,

I have one website based on wordpress.
Lately I started to have a huge increase in traffic and I must have an upgrade. (I am on a shared hosting right now & free cloudflare service)
when I reach about 550 sessions in real-time - the website just crash.
I want to upgrade to a dedicated server but I don't know which plan to choose.
I am afraid that in the future I will have more increase in traffic and then I will have to upgrade it again.
I believe I can reach about 2000 users in real-time or even more if I had a server that could handle the traffic

What can be my best choice right now?

Consider a Quad core server with 16GB RAM. Installing litespeed on it will help to serve concurrent connections to the website. What's your budget for the dedicated server ?

If you can afford it, get as much ram as you can and ssd drives. This will help the server complete the read/writes due to your site running wordpress.

Have you installed a cache plugin as well such as - https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/

If you could confirm with your budget, DP members can suggest you with a server configuration you should consider.

Just curious if you've fully optimized your site? In addition to Cloudflare do you have static caching setup (ie; W3Total Cache)? Unless you have a really crappy host now, 500 or 600 realtime visitors should not crash a well-optimized site
    ?

You might just want to look into an SSD VPS instead of a dedi just yet. It'll also cost you less for a cPanel license on a VPS than on a dedicated server.
