I know i may not sound objective in this case but i feel i must share this.

While many popular niches (e.g. gaming, health and weight loss, forex and others) are too saturated. The sports tickets and sport tourism niches are among the niches which are far from being saturated.

That said, the sports tickets industry has a greater than $10 Billion yearly market. People enjoy sports and DO BUY TICKETS ONLINE. In fact, while many events are sold out months before the event date. Sports fans keep looking desperately for tickets. Especially for Euroean football (soccer) matches.

If you are looking to earn money online and would like to begin in a non saturated niche and take advantage of the very little competition, you can do it by selling tickets to sports events.

If you are interested in doing so, you are welcome to review the site in my signature and\or contact me

You explained that really well! To pick just one of those niche's I would go to google adwords keywood tool and find out which one of those terms will give you the most traffic.

Plus the best thing is that new niches will always spring up..you are not limited to the ones that are around now!!!

Ok - I'm reading this post because I searched for "niche" in general marketing forum. My main problem right now is finding a niche that is worth marketing. I've read to find a niche your interested in, one that people search for, and one where people are spending money. My interests are electronics and healthcare/medicine (i'm in nursing school) mainly. How do I find a niche in these categories?

Also, how do I go about blogging, reviewing, or even building a decent site around such an odd niche? For example, earlier posts talked about narrowing "body building" down to "huge biceps". How in the world is someone supposed to build a site around huge biceps? Doesn't seem like there's much to review or blog about.

Try this blog post, it may give you some ideas. It is a must follow rules.

Posting: Niche Marketing Research: Finding Your Niche Market

I think if you want to be successful, you need to first find out what you enjoy doing... then only you can succeed in that niche. Everyone has a different definition of success. You can pick any niche and do well but if you really want to thrive, make sure you pick a niche that you will enjoy working in.
