I dont know what google is up to but it isnt funny anymore

I noticed yesterday the large horizontal banner split from four ads to just two larger ones, and I earned revenue without any clicks. It was very odd. However I'm not complaining.

I do think it stinks that you can't tell if anyone has purchased CPM on your site when you log into your account. It would be nice to know if that's the case.

What I saw over the last few days was a dip in eCPM. I have some traffic that is business related and moves up and down with the work week in North America, Australia, and India and to a lesser degree in Europe. I have other traffic that is non-business that goes up when business goes down but the eCPM is lower.

I'd recommend whatching eCPM more than net $$$'s as it might indicate the cut Google is giving for a certain sector. Also, get a good grasp for the cycles that always happen and sometimes happen. Weekends for me are lower and there are those occasional two day periods out of no where that are off. The sky isn't falling today as it wasn't for me yesterday.

 

I also experienced a large drop with less than 1/4 of the clicks that I usually have at this point. Weird.

It's all the new Adsense optimization that hit around the 1st of the month, it's not something that is going to get fixed, it's what they did and want.

Where I had 4 ads, I mostly now have 1......... images looks crappy also now, nothing under most of them.

Clicks and earnings have dropped at least 40% for me since it started.

 

Okay.... at least some of you have ads showing

Since the re-vamp.... not one of my pages are showing ads.... the only ads I have showing is in my left hand column skyscraper... and that's it

No leaderboard! No block ads! No adlink! NOTHING

This is so upsetting being August and Elvis Week in Memphis is in full swing...

My unique visitors have doubled if nor tripled... but with no ads showing on any of my important pages... how is a gal supposed to make a living...

I think Yahoo.... maybe the way to go....

 

Google AdSense still performs well and I haven't noticed any difference except a positive one.

 

With this new Feature, I've got my CTR raise almost 30% and my revenue almost 50% up then last month. At least until this day

 

If they are going to continue this practice they really need to have alternate ads for different space sizes. Stretching one ad over the space of 4 looks very grade-school.

People spent a lot of time on the look of their site, and having someone just stretch a designed ad to 4times it size is horrible design.

 

Have any of you actually contacted adsense and complained about this restructure

If so what was their response?

As I can't believe me eyes... there are so little ads on my site.... I'm not even getting stretched ads... I have blank spaces... which looks terrible ....
