I don't know how to buy traffic--help

My problem is that I haven't been able to figure out how to
buy traffic. Of the 750,000 referrals in the last 18 months
from search engines, 500,000 were for search phrases that
only had one visitor. The most popular key phrase associated
with revenue had 1800 visitors, and resulted in about $900
    in sales.

99.99% of my income comes from key phrases that only have
10 or less searchers per 18 months.
I could plow through and ask for 60,000 low volume key words, but
the PPC people don't want to deal with me on that basis.

    ideas?

And just to make your problem a little harder to deal with I should point out that there was a time when 50% of all search terms used in Google each day had never been searched for before -

That is where I seem to be making the most money. People
are getting more sophisticated in their search terms, they know
better than to type in something generic, when they do all they
get is Ebay and Amazon. They search for very specific terms,
which makes them hard to advertise to!

And the PPC people haven't caught on at all. I have used several
PPC programs, and the first thing they did is trim down my
    requested keywords to the
dozen or so that were expected to get more than a certain threshold
    per day.

    best regards

miva.com is one of my personal favourites. Can get good keywords at very low prices.

Doesn't Miva give you a list of keywords to select from?
Usually very few of such key words will work for me. That is the problem.

If I was selling t-shirts it might be different.
