I totally agree, Stay away from Dropshipping, believe me it will get your Ebay account blocked at some point. Been there and seen it all.........
If you're not talking about the affiliate network, then yes you have to sell products to earn on eBay. You can look for wholesale suppliers or reliable dropshippers to get your hands on some products to get yourself started. Also dropshipping is allowed on eBay, there is nothing wrong with it, you just have to choose suppliers that can be trusted.
Good suppliers is where its at. Reasonable price where it leaves you enough room to make a profit after the shipping charges.
You can do that with both physical products (such as tennis balls) or information products (such as How to lose weight in 60 days). You can sell either of those 2 types of products on eBay.
Exactly. Do your homework. There is basic training on eBay. I would stay away from drop shipping until you know what you're doing. The gentleman who, I think, still has the eBay radio program used to have an excellent training program. I've sold many items on eBay. Check out other auctions and I think there is a section where you can check out what's popular on eBay. I haven't been on there for awhile until recently. I currently have a set of Pickard China dinnerware for sale. It's a high-end item so it will probably take some time to sell and will have to be shipped UPS 2 day Air in the USA which will cost around $300 USD. I've sold high end artwork there also. All of it takes work. I sold a mountain bike a couple of years ago. It was a pain to ship. An important tip is to make sure you take care of your buyer. You want good reviews otherwise you won't last long. Good luck!
No, you can earn only by selling. Now its up to you which product will you sell, buying from others or your own.
You don't have anything to sell? Why not? The game is to buy low and sell high. Go to your local yard and garage sales, or Craiglist, find some good bargains to resell on ebay.
Though the affiliates program is specifically not intended to market your own auctions (that's actually against eBay affiliates terms of service), to get started you do need to be an eBay member. The actual affiliate program itself, in terms of registration, tracking, payment and "some" of the linking options is done via Commission Junction, so you'll need to get an ID there as well. This is easily done by going to affiliates.ebay.com . Approval for the eBay program is almost instantaneous so you'll be able to get right into the thick of it immediately.
