i dont get this!

hi there,

every day i check my awstats and notice that google bot visits my website every day!but i mean every day,i also listed sitemaps in google but i still dont see some of my websites indexed.

Why?

 

google is very slow. nothing happens instantaneously. unless you have a major site, it takes a week or more for crawled stuff to get into the index. plus, if google is crawling, it might be that google is just window-shopping, without picking anything up. this is often the case for new sites, sites without backlinks, etc.

 

May i know how long has your site been 'live'? You may have to create a Google Webmaster tool account and see if it tells you something..

 

the site has been alive already 3 weeks,yahoo has already indexed,altavista also .i already have a google webmaster account.
The only one that hasent indexxed is google

 

digg u r site nd do some social bookmarking
u will get indexed sooner

have you try this out in Google:

site:<your domain>

or direct search of your url in the search box...

if you still don't see your site indexed, better start promoting your site...try out directory submissions for example...

 

yeap,its not listed on G im gonna look out for some info about directories submission

black hat is bad search engine optimization efforts that are frowned upon by the search engines. using black hat methods to gain search rankings could get your site banned. not good to do!

serps is search engine results pages.

 

google crawls billions of pages everyday...

and it index them at some period, like every month or something.. you just have to wait..

 

Make sure to update your content and adding new content.

 

i just noticed today that one of my websites has been indexed.. now ill wait for the other.
Another thing i dont understand,i was checking my awstats and i noticed that last week i was having round about 5 visits per day from google,now i notice that its more than doubled,how does this work?is it becuase now there are more people searching for that product or just google giving out more results on my webpage?

 

The visits is up to google but you can sort of control it from the webmaster tools (set crawl rate) but its nothing to worry about, it probably means it realized that you have more pages to be indexed and its doubling the effort.

Getting links pointing to your site is the best method of getting your site indexed fast ...

 

submitting your website to social bookmarking websites will get it indexed faster if you manage to get it on first page from digg you'll have it indexed in 12 hours.
