I Don't Get It

I really don't get this. I advertise my new band and forum everywhere. And I am getting no views and no one wants to register at the forum. Here is the whole thing:

Alright 25 posts to get the cd. What do you want me to do charge you 20 dollars for the cd? it has 17 awesome songs that last over an hour. I WILL charge for it if no one gets it. 25 posts verses 20 bucks. All I want is people to listen and download the cd and get members at the forum. I've never reached over 2 members ever :( and I really want some people to like it. There are billions of people out here that I know like the music I and my band are doing but they still never register and stuff. Please take the time to register. It takes only 60 seconds.

If you had a band and you wanted people to register at your forum and listen to your music, and no one listens to it and you have only had 2 members ever at your forum, You wouldn't like it. So now I feel like I should just quit this band and take all that 2 years of making songs and 6 hours of making my forum into the trash.

You guys know what I mean? :(

This isn't the right way to promote your music, and probably not the right place. I undertand that you're only 12 years old, and it's cool that you're making your own music, but if you spam/bump to get people on your forum (and listening to your music), then you'll get nowhere.

Maybe you should try some more appropriate forums such as :
    http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/
    http://homerecording.com/bbs/

They don't like spam much either though, so think before you post :)

What makes you think people will spend $20 if they won't post 25 times to get it free? Not the greatest threat in the world...

Not trying to be harsh on you, but face reality and market the CD using another strategy (IE: Possibly let people listen to some samples of your best songs in order to motivate them to care??).

I don't think the DP forum is the best place to advertise your self, spamming or not spamming. Try a music forum or a more social forum. Also try out Myspace (the music section). I really don't think the DP forum is the best place to promote your music ;)

Go to myspace buddy or such sites, build a fan base, and then link to your site.

Agree with this. MySpace is a good place to start. Add people who are friends of bands that sound similar to you, comment them when they accept the friend request, and post bulletins a couple bulletins everyday.

first of all you spam this forum with your band. ive seend 3 or so threads. second its not a pro ban or anything. third you should try the entertainment forum. and this is mostly a webmaster forum. try a music forum

I agree with previous postings.. music stuff isn't for a webmaster forum unless you are looking for a website or help on advertising.. You may want to consider looking at the ad section for people to market your cd... you may also want to consider getting a MYSPACE account. I know a bunch of artist on myspace that sell cds because they let people listen to a COMPLETE song for free.. Your young... you have time.. Good luck!

I would if you would just let people listen without posting. :/

You don't have a fan base, so it doesn't make sense to require people to post on your forum or pay to listen to your music.
