Or quality traffic from real links instead of "PR only" ones ;)

PR is very important! But.. it's not the only thing that is important. I'm thinking bribery to google ceo's might be especially important.. now i just have to find out who to contact ;)

Guys, I think we need to understand that Google PR and toolbar PR are different. Google PR is used by Google as a part of the formula to calculate SERPs amongst many other factors. So, it IS important.

Toolbar PR (the one visible on the PR) is only important for you if you are part of the co-op (to get more weight), if you sell or exchange links etc. It is not the same PR value that is used for calculating SERPS.

Finally, it IS possible for a PR0 site to rank highly in the SERPs if it does really well in the other factors (apart from PR) used for calculating SERPs. Moreover, just because a site shows a PR0 on the toolbar does not mean that it is a PR0. It could, in fact be a PR5 (say) for the real (database) PR that is used for calculating SERPs.

Finally, it's quite amusing to see a lot of members posting here saying "I don't care and I hate these kind of threads" (but I'll post here anyway!) :D

    Well the original question was:

"Do you care about the pr update?"

I would have thought this was an invitation for people of either point of view to comment.

it seems that the update of the pr is really important, all the forums takes the time to talk about that.

Personally the most exciting event for me is when the checks arrive every month. If PR watching is more important to you than this then clearly your online activities will only ever be a hobby.

No, it's definitely more exciting when cheques arrive BUT that's an offline event! ;)

Well when I say checks I'm rolling in the electronic transfers into those. Its arguable whether they are online or offline events.

No e-transfers in NZ as yet, so it's definitely an offline event for me.

In any case, it was meant to be a joke! (duh) :D

I know it was a joke. Sorry someone surgically removed my sense of humour today. How are things over there in the Land of the Long White Cloud anyways?

Some people just can't handle the truth ... If you've got BALLS put your name to it or at least make your voice be heard on the thread. LOL ;) I never give anyone RED for sharing their opinion, in the contrary those with well thought out comments and correct do get GREEN (even if i don't agree) from me - - - ASK AROUND BONE HEAD! The truth must hurt!!!!

Thanks Web Gazelle! PR is a game ... just like getting laid (for the most part)! If you get a horrendous haircut (PR Update) you might find yourself without any action.:D
