I don't care about the economy..You can still make money with Adsense.

I agree with the many posts that say, you have to keep working and innovating.

I am doing the work that it seems others are doing. - Adding new websites, adding new content, writing articles, bookmarking, etc.

Still is it frustrating when you are in the boat that is sinking and not rising in revenue. That has been my case the last 6-8 weeks.

I look to DP to see what is happening to my fellow adsensers as part of my feedback mechanism.

If most people are seeing a drop in revenue (and complaining about it) it says to me: "The economic woes is affecting my sales, but my long-term strategy is probably okay."

If most people are doing better than me right now, then it says: "Yipes, my strategy is all wrong, I have to make major adjustments."

This thread where everyone seems to be doing better, pushes me towards the "Yipes" scenario, but my gut still shouts out that you lucky guys are the exception to the current economic struggle.

So I will keep monitoring the threads and DP and see what is going on with everyone else...:)

You gotta remember the difference between normal goods and inferior goods in the real world also. In a bad economy, a high class restaurant might get hit bad because people are spending less on better food... but places like McDonald's are getting more business since instead of having 25$ worth of pizza a family of 3 might go have a couple burgers for cheaper. You'll have some companies saying business sucks and others saying nothing is wrong... when in fact within the general population there is something wrong.

It all boils down to niche... and I say a majority of niches are going downhill, while obviously there might be some niches that are still doing OK. I have some domains still making good money a day, but others that USED to do very well are very down. Thankfully I'm still in a decent position, but still worried about the future.

Ofcourse the economy will affect it, so you should care. You might make $600 a day next year which will be the equivalent of $50 today.

I'm from the UK using Adsense and the conversion rate to pounds is terrible, and is getting worse.

That's great on how you motivate yourself. In fact what you are saying is actually true. The main thing is to stop complaining and get on with work. Best is diversify your niche.
