I do not understand. 3 meme sites of mine have a PR3 even though they have 0 in-links

    The site I am talking about is a high PR site. It is similar to sites like squidoo.com where you can signup and create a page with a URL like, "http://www.squidoo.com/mytopicname"

    I created several different pages on there about 6 months ago. I did this to get some Google traffic to a site of mine. I checked last month and 3 of my pages on the meme site are PR3s. I checked for any links pointing to these pages and there are none. These 3 sites are on the 1st page of google for their keywords, maybe this is the reason?

    I don't understand why these sites can have a PR3 even though they have 0 links pointing to them:confused:

    Yup strange enough... but our knowledge might limits us from understanding it clearly.. maybe any SEO guru can advise us on this..

    sites shouldn't have any pagerank increase if they have no authority backlinks pointing to the page. i really think on this last update google increased the page ranks of sites that aren't quality and don't have good backlinks which is why i keep seeing "i didn't get any links but i went from 0 - 4". i think that google increased the low quality pages to make spammers believe that they are high quality. So when people spam their links on the pages, they are actually spamming them on a really garbage page but the toolbar PR shows it as a more quality page than it really is. this would lead to the spammers barely getting any link juice and just being fooled.

    Bl is one of the factor for PR, did not mane that without BL no PR. Its ranking from google based on the sites quality,consider content, hits,BL and crawl rate etc

    I found a friend's site recently had a PR5 inner page even though his site had NO backlinks. The PR went to N/A for the page in the next export.
