I decided how I am going to vote

Disclaimer: The following post is meant (mostly) as a joke. Please don't take it too seriously....

I've finally made up my mind how I am going to vote! Haven't settled on a candidate yet, but I have devised a plan as to how I am going to chose one. I am keeping track of all of the political phone calls and surveys that I am getting. Every time I get a call from a specific candidate, I give them 10 points. If they call before 9 am or after 8 pm they get 20 points. If it's a live person on the phone, it's only 5 points. Recordings are an additional 10 points. Every piece of mail I get is one point and every flyer left on my porch is 5 points. If the flyer is laying somewhere in my yard, they get 20 points.

When it is time to go and vote, I will tally up all the points, and the candidate with the fewest points gets my vote!

Seriously, I am tired of all these phone calls. Do recorded phone campaigns really work? All they do is tick me off! I only listen for a few seconds to see which candidate it is that is calling (so I can give them their appropriate points) and then I hang up!

    :D

good point. politicians could give a rats @ss about you while in office, but when it's time to get elected and they need your vote, you can bet you'll have them in your ear and at your front porch.

Exercising your right to suffrage is your declaration that you're part of the whole social processes, including politics. It's a fact of life.

Possibly. But the Michigan primary is over now, so I'm hoping it may quiet down for a little while... Maybe...

For the Australian election i picked a major party. And then voted randomly for the individuals for the local members because i didn't know them that well except one.

So your voting structure has a lot more merit than myn, thats for sure.
