I Comment Important

Hi,DP members.I own a blog(url in the sign).I dont get to much comment from the visitors.My question is "Is comment important for a blog owner".How it is helpful?

pls let me know.

 

Its important if the comments contribute to your blog and the people appear to actually have something worth saying.

What you dont want is comments like:

"Cheers"
"Wow, great info ,thanks buddy"
"I will subscribe to your RSS feed and tell my buddies about your blog" <- Lies
"Thanks"

Its better to not have comments than 25 people all saying the same thing.

Also remember that some blog posts wont include something that would make a person want to reply, where another type of post might impel a person to comment.

 

Yes comment are important. Make use of "u comment i follow" rule to get enough comments.

 

hey nice blog, bro. It looks very professional. I think comments are very important when they are contributing about the related topic. It kinda enriches your blog with extra information you already provided and/or makes suggestions and states the opinions of your readers. Have a good one friend

 

I think comments are quite important as an indication of your success. When new visitors arrive at your site, they look at your comment count to determine whether your blog is an authority (lots of comments) or a worthless blog (no comments). Sure, it's only a first impression, and visitors might change their mind based on the actual content of your site, but first impression counts!

 

for me comments are everything
when i see comments on any blog I just have feeling that its gonna be good...
plus comments increases interaction between you and readers

comments are important in many ways. If your blog post is 400 words, and someone makes a lengthy comment of 200 words, the total word count for that blog post is now 600 words. The search engine spiders will have to crawl the blog post again, and re-index.
The more meaningful comments the better.
You can gain more comments by making your blog dofollow, and getting the PR a bit higher.

 

As galaji said, comments are everything for me too. I am motivated to write for my personal knowledge sharing purposes, but when I see comments from people saying how it helped them, I am motivated even more.

In regards to comments helping your blog out in terms of SE, networking, and such, that's a whole different aspect of comments. But the real essence of comments should simply be for discussion purposes between the writer and the reader.

 

Comment is important as long as it add value for your content. Discussion in comment form seems can increase your traffic tough.

 

I think valuable comments are good but useless comments will unnecessary add load time. Use Akismet if you are using any CMS to avoid them. Thats what i am using in my wordpress blog.
