I Clicked One Of My Ads, How Do I Contact Google?

Hi Guys,

Today the browser I was using froze and I was moving my mouse around and clicking various parts of the screen when it suddenly started working and I must have clicked on one of my ads as the browser loaded another page.

When I checked Google I saw a click so I know I must have clicked one of my ads.

I am thinking of contacting Google and explaining so they won't think I'm trying to cheat.

How do I go about contacting them?

I was looking on my Adsense account but coud not see it.

I really don;t understand why can't you click on your own ads lets say if you find the ad interesting , after all those ads are on your site which is probably about something that interested you !

I have done this in the past also.
I didnt contact them. I noticed I didnt get paid for the click.
I read it somewhere that google understands a stray click and says not to contact them as they will know it was unintentional being only one or 2 clicks.

You should be fine, I don't see a single click as a cause for concern, unless you accidentally click ads multiple times every day

 

did that 3 times... clicked my own ads accidentally and every time I have mailed them. After the third mail to them with the same problem they told me not to report the same problem again because they know that errors can occur. So stay calm, nothing will happen to you.

 

I've been fortunate and never clicked an ad which is surprising considering the center scroll wheel on my mouse gets stuck.

My new one's sitting under the Xmas tree, it's my only present and i'm not allowed to have it.

But yes they do say in their guidelines, if it's a one off accidental click no need to report it.

dont contact them. ive heard numerous stories of well meaning people getting banned for contacting google. they are busy and might misinterpret your email or they may even not sympathize. just stay put and try not to let it happen again.

 

You don't need to contact them. They already know. Your ip is the same.

Although I use other ad networks I use Adsense on some of my sites that have good-paying niches so you can see why I dont particularly want to be banned from them.
