Well, I doubt that clicking once will get you ban. What will raise the flag for adsense is multiple repititive click from same ip.
Mail google adsense asap. Tell them. This will increase their faith in you. Ask them to make any corrections in balance. Thanks Ishan
Yup, remember, your not screwing Google out of money, your screwing the advertisers X dollars per click. 1 Click shouldn't be bad... but Google does notice multiple clicks per IP
i think you have to start paying for not being banned and you have inform this to adsense team. they are very king people
Just ignore it. One click won't get you banned, but be aware that another mistake could cost you your account.
Over the years of using adsense I have clicked my own ads by mistake many times and it is fine aslong as you don't make it too much of a habbit.
You can notify them here : https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/request.py? My personal policy is to always report anything that you feel uncomfortable with. It doesn't hurt... and I agree with what Ishan said : it helps keep your account in good standing.... (unless you're doing it too often it becomes suspicious)
I notified them when I did it last week and this is the response I got Hi, Thanks for letting us know about the clicks on your ads. We appreciate your honesty and your efforts to keep your account in good standing. Although publishers are not permitted to click on their own ads for any reason, we do understand that accidental clicks may occur, so we don't require that you contact us every time you click on your ads. For your reference, you can find tips and guidelines for keeping your account in good standing by visiting https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=23921. If you were clicking your ads out of interest or to see who was advertising on your site, we suggest the AdSense preview tool as an alternative. This tool will allow you to check the destination of ads on your page without the risk of generating invalid clicks. As a general rule, click Search in the forum before clicking New Thread. This one is answered several time per day.
Don't worry about it..you can email them if you feel the need to but they'll simply tell you don't bother emailing us because we accept these errors occur, occasionally.
