Wait for a few days , you will know by yourself. No one on DP can do anything about it. God bless you!!
don't panic - your click will probably be ingnored but you won't get banned - just don't do it too often
I think it's ridicolous to send them an email because of ONE wrong click. Don't you think they got better things to do?
Of course they have nothing better to do , I heard they take delight in scaring the life out of webmasters , to the point where some newbie webby's shield their eyes when viewing their own adsense adverts in case Googlle thinks they might be tempted to click
Hmm... what if we all click on every ad we see? Just click... if everyone does it, it sure comes back to you by higher CTR... it would be just bad for those AdWords guys..
I think Google did a great job scaring us... I don't think you will be banned for clicking your ads a few times, sometimes it can even happen by mistake, I don't think they track your IP, they probably have algorithmes installed that track unusual click behaviour, that will alarm them and they will look into it.
I'm pretty sure they do track IPs. I clicked on one once, went to my account and checked it later to see if they logged it. It was logged as a click but there was no amount to that click. They probably compared the IP that I logged into the account on, with the IPs that clicked and removed payment on the one or ones that match. Big question is how far do they take this. If they record each time I log in and save those records then as the IPs get reused by other customers of the internet access company I use, then later when someone else clicks using that IP it will not count.
I dont think so if you did only click once. I also clicked once and emailed them about it (dam mouse of my laptop - its very sensitive ) and they replyed They apreciated that i have let them know i clicked it that i could not click my own ads read the rules... if i wanted to click i should use one of theyr tools (dont know the name) So it always better to tell them. Its called: "Fair Play"
