    I have a period of about a month and a half :

    - I Changed My Site Domain From .com To .net with the same name

    - At the same time i moved from a special server in datacenter Wowrack to the datacenter SingleHope

the first week Visitors are good and no change
Week following a week following, Visitors Decreased about 35 %
And continuing the case so far ..

    Why That Happened ?

Is My Site Entered THe Sand Box !

Of course, I did all the tips to try to get out of the sand box

I Tried to win a new search words and change of Meta Tags, description, and made new content and so on but nothing changed

Notes: new topics appear in google and appears in search Results - the results of my site simetimes go up and some times go done as usual , and I gained a strong Keyword sent me alot of visitors per day in this period.

Finally , Visitors Are down and down :(

Please do not respond, after you read the topic carefully :)

What did you do with the old .com-domain? Is it still yours or you sold it?

Even after doing a redirect, it might take some time before seeing rankings and web results.

Did you redirect your .com to .net or simply just moved the content

I am afraid because it will hamper your traffic if your .com visitors are not aware they may go to .com

So how do they know .net is now a replacement, they cant dream unless you redirect them from .com to .net
or simply put a note on .com saying , please visit .net hence forth

Also your incoming links to .com wont help as the visitor following link will be ending up at .com
There is no such magic for people to know there will be same site named with .net

When you did the 301 redirect, have you set it up so each URL maps perfectly to each URL on the new domain, or have you set it up to redirect just to the new site's top level index?

Man I did exactly what you did a couple of months ago, and all my rankings dropped eventually, after that I returned everything to old domain and removed 301 redirect and now it is back to it's old rankings. So I'd suggest you return your old domain.

Do you use Google Webmaster tools? If so, did you tell it that your domain is moving? I just switched the domain for my blog and used Google Webmaster Tools along with a 301 redirect to alert google that all of my previous traffic and pages would be pointing to a new domain name. Sure I lost some serps and a bit of traffic, but it's already building back up only a month later and many of my high ranking keywords in Google for the old domain have been updated to the new one without losing much, if any, of their positions.
