Why would any one even the most inexperienced ones waste there time and resources trying to rank for any keyword with no search volume and prize ???!!! " No Money No Funny "
In any case, This contenst would not be fair now, Since the keyword has been published here and Digitalpoint forums thread will rank there for it. Its biased. If you want to hold a challenge game, be fair and announce the keyword when all are ready to blast off..Do not publish the keyword anywhere untill the content is ON.. Also, like all said, Announce a prize as well, only then it will be all fair ..
Wow i was surprised to get many responses! Right now, if you search Fsog Boodle .... LenxWorld.blogspot is #1 I know people are too busy for this, and dont have any prizes to offer ---- figured just for "fun".... I say this: Let the challenge go until Friday....... Whoever gets to the top.... is named "SEO Boss of the Month".......... Basically, they'll get tons of respect and street cred for the month of September...... and when they speak, you know they know what the heck theyre talking about!!!!!
Heck, ranking for this nonexistent word is rather easy, man. I have done it and it took me two hours to rank OK? But on the other hand, can anyone in here rank on the first for the word 'finance'? NObody can! I am in a heck of a work to rank high for 'creative writing' I am still in sandbox for that. Soon enough I will rank.
Dino mentioned no prizes for the first place. He just said its a challenge and experiment to see the best and fastest way to rank with a specific keyword!! I like the idea Dino, but the winner will be the fastest person to use anchor text and promote backlinks for the word "Fsog Boodle". It will be very time consuming, but fun
There's a lot of SEO experts here and I think they would rather spend their time doing the same thing that will gain them lots of traffic and money. No offence....I'm not saying this is not a good idea, but it is only workable if there's a carrot that dangles in front so that those experts might actually come out and join.
ok that's seem like fun. I will join and do what I can do from my spare time. You know what? I will put it in my signature!!! let see what everybody will say about this.
LOL, nice.. it will be interesting to see how a brand new domain name competes against the others. So far (as of 9am 11th September 2008 AEST) the results look like this. Looks like vjlenin is still #1 at this stage, although there is a danger of been overtaken by code4gold and Digg Cheers James
Why don't you post a commercial term we can rank for, this way it's a bit more of a challenge competing against established sites plus after it's over we can scoop revenue from our sites? Ranking for some dead end term with no results is about as exciting as watching paint dry.
I sort of agree, However if a commercial competitive term was used then it would wipe 99% of people in this forum out of the competition, and maybe 100% if the competition was to reach #1 within a month. And besides, "boodle" is very commercial, or was at one stage http://www.boodle.me/ http://www.answers.com/boodle&r=67 The way its shaping up now, looks like Digg may win Cheers James
Sorry I'm having to remove my attempt.. when I added it my ranking for a few of my most popular key words dropped
That's not good to hear.. Do you think it was because of the new page? I would have thought web design and SEO (competition) would in some way be considered related. Ill have a go on your behalf then My attempt at the Fsog Boodle Challenge Cheers James
That Digg one is now #1.... I wonder if its because it is mentioned in the Title Tag, unlike the others Wow Joel1st.... I wonder why the rankings dropped for the other keywords?!... This is very educational I'll tell you that much!!
