I see posts like... "I'm looking for someone to build X or Y, there is no money involved but I will pay you 15% of any eventual profits". I mean, WTF? we should just work our asses to code whatever crazy idea you get, and not even get compensated for it? Or get 15% for it?
You get 15% for it if his idea works, or else you go unpaid for the work. In other case, you won't get paid even if his idea works, which in short means "getting scammed" So according to me, no need to entertain these kind of people! What do you say?

First of all, if you don't think the idea would make money of course you would not do it. But it you did, 15% could easily end up being far more than you would be paid if it was a paid up front deal. It really depends on the project. Since you don't need to take any of these jobs I hardly see why it upsets you. There are many ways to sort out the so-called "joint venture". It's not that straightforward but definitely it involves some mutual understanding. I came to know that there are people who actually pay based on results something like sharing the analytics stats and then reward according to the traffic increase. But certainly, there are ways forward.
Internet from the day it has began has been a place with both good and bad. Scammers are here as in real life its upto to us not to get scammed big!! I have been getting scammed in DP but you can never know who will scam!! All I can say as mahatma Gandhi has said unless all the thief's themselves realise that what they are doing is wrong you can never get rid of it. No matter what scammers will be there, All we can do is be as honest as possible The other thing I noticed is people are really greedy, When someone is offering a logo for $5 he should know that he will scam or for that matter unmetered bandwidth for $5 lol.. Its easy when you have your eyes opened

i am, of course. i'm just frustrated - i run into lots of these guys, i spend time trying to convert leads just to find out that actually they wanna get work for free and if it works they will pay some dimes.
