I can't index articles on Google

Despite adding my site to Google Analytics, creating a sitemap, and linking it to all webmaster tools, and even though I am driving traffic from social media, most of my articles do not appear in Google Search, even after a month.

    Do you have structured data?
Any issues with the mobile view?
Any feedback in the google search console?
How is the speed of the site?
Are your articles actually worth indexing?

Sometimes it takes a bit longer for Google to catch up, especially if you’re in a competitive niche. Maybe tweaking your content or focusing on SEO might help.

    Hi sir.
    1) The quality of the pages should meet google's requirements.
    2) Try services to speed up indexing. Sometimes it works well. For example, Riseindexing or Addtoindex. But there are others, although I can't recommend all of them.
    3) Another thing you can try is using Google indexing api. It helps in some situations, but not all. Rumor has it that it's only used for message boards and merchandise. Maybe that's why google can impose hidden flags. So think about it. I just gave you some options.

    Did you try site:somesite.com ?

I've noticed this with my sites: all of them are indexed, but just a handful of links are actually appearing in search results. However if I go to site:somesite.com I'd say 80% of the links are indexed.

Search bots can go to all the pages, but not all of them will show up in the search. There are special plugins and scripts for tracking bots on the site. I have heard about the site:somesite.com method. I think it gives the wrong picture.

Google can be super slow with indexing sometimes. Try manually submitting your pages through Google Search Console (URL Inspection Tool). Also, check for any technical issues like noindex meta tags or blocks in robots.txt

Interesting! Have you tested Riseindexing or Addtoindex yourself? How effective are they in real cases? Also, does the Indexing API actually work for regular articles, or is it more of a myth?

I use Riseindexing. It brings in a strong google bot. Check out the information on their site. I just don't want to spam links here. Indexing api for articles can work, but there are risks of flying out of the index in the future. So it depends on what cases. In general, test it.

Take into account that Google only indexes what it likes. Therefore, forcing it to do so is not always possible.

Have you checked if your pages are indexed using site:yourwebsite.com on Google? Sometimes, submitting URLs manually in Google Search Console can speed things up. Also, make sure your content is unique and optimized for SEO.

There's a good article on this topic, it's called: “8 Solutions for Fast page indexing in Google 2025”. You'll find it no problem. I just don't want to put links here.

Sounds frustrating. Could be indexing issues—have you checked Google Search Console for any errors? Also, make sure your content is optimized for search intent and not just driving traffic from social. Sometimes, building a few strong backlinks helps speed things up.

Have you checked for any technical errors in Google Search Console? Maybe the pages are blocked in robots.txt or there are issues with the canonical URL? Also, try manually requesting indexing through GSC—sometimes that helps speed up the process

Hello! There are several reasons why your articles might not be getting indexed on Google. First, make sure that your website or blog isn’t set to "noindex" in the HTML or in the robots.txt file (which could block Googlebot). Also, it’s important to ensure that Googlebot can access all of your pages, so check if there are any technical issues (such as HTTP errors or poor URL structure).

I would also recommend using Google Search Console to check if there are any penalties or crawling issues preventing Google from recognizing your pages.

If everything looks fine, try submitting the URLs directly to Google using the "URL Inspection" tool in Google Search Console and see if Google will index your pages.

You have not mentioned the two most important criteria, if not you are just wasting time trying to figure stuff out.
    1) Create a Google Search Console account. This will tell you all the errors you are creating and any indexing issues that may appear.
    2) Use the Google SEO Starter Guide: Every web admin should use it. It is a clear and simple guide to SEO that any ninth grader can understand.

You won't need to have any other tools if you use these. After all, nobody can identify your indexing issues better than Google.

A month is a bit of time, so there could be a few things to check to help things move along.

First, make sure your site is properly indexed by Google. You can do this by checking if any of your pages are showing up in the search results by typing "site:yourdomain.com" in Google. If only a few pages show up, there could be an indexing issue. You can try submitting your sitemap directly in Google Search Console again, just to make sure Google’s crawling your pages.

It’s also possible that your articles might not be indexed as quickly because they’re still being evaluated for quality. Google tends to prioritize well-established websites or pages that have a lot of high-quality backlinks, so if your site is still relatively new, it might take a little while longer for Google to start ranking your pages consistently.

Another thing to double-check is your robots.txt file and meta tags. If your pages have "noindex" tags or if your robots.txt is blocking Google from crawling them, this could prevent them from appearing in search. You can use the URL Inspection tool in Google Search Console to see if any of your pages have indexing issues.

Finally, ensure that your content is optimized for SEO. Sometimes, even if you're driving traffic from social media, the content might not be fully optimized for Google’s algorithms. Look into improving your on-page SEO—things like meta descriptions, heading tags, image alt text, and making sure your content answers searcher intent clearly.

If all that looks good and you're still not seeing improvement, it could just be a matter of patience. Google’s algorithm can take a little while to start showing new content in search results, especially if you’re in a competitive niche.

    Hope that helps a bit,

If your pages are indexed but not ranking, it might be a content quality or keyword relevance issue. But if they’re not even showing up in the index, maybe check for crawl errors or noindex tags. Also, try submitting a few URLs manually in Search Console to see if that helps.
