    Hey pals,
I have been submitting my site to DMOZ for a year and more but I just can't get listed. Why though?

first you should post in the relevant dmoz forum
also I know submitting your site to dmoz is a matter of following the submission guidelines very carefully then forgetting about it

If your site meets their guidelines,
You maybe need to wait for one/two year or ever longer,
    Who know?!

Only volunteer editors can list sites, and they use many different resources in order to build the directory.
Suggestions made by other people are just that: suggestions.

DMOZ is not a listing service, and although it is very likely that a volunteer will review your suggestion at some stage, nobody can say when that will be.

You are welcome to suggest worthwhile sites, but please do not waste everyone's time by repeatedly suggesting the same site. You were specifically advised not to do this on the suggestion form, and excessive repetitions is likely to be seen as spamming.

You could also become an editor and list your site. Unfortunately even if you disclose all affiliations you have and being honest on an application theres no guarantee. On the other hand providing false information and getting a different IP address or an application submitted in Canada while you are in India would be easier. Lots of ways.:D

Not a good indication of honest intentions, and therefore certain to result in rejection. Yet another complete waste of everyone's time.

It been like that with Dmoz, you do not get listed quickly but some are favored though. Well be patient.
