    :D

It took me a few seconds to realize that if a bunch of webmasters/editors were given power to decide whether you get into the DMOZ or not, that that power could be abused. Why would one assume that everyone looking at your submission has your best interest in mind? After reading the above, I was disgusted. You will be too. Very good, eye-opening, bean-spilling information.

What about a bunch of average web users whose only 'webmaster' experience was from designing silly little profile sites for themselves and maybe a family site for their kids? That qualifies me. I have two websites one is about being an editor and the other is about my kids. What possible power do I hold over you that I would want to abuse and keep you from being listed?? Think about it. There are no editor-owned categories. Every category in the directory can be edited by 200+ editors, are all 200 editors deciding today that they don't like you or your site so therefore they won't list you??
That baffles me too, since editors DONT have your best interest in mind, nor do they have the best interests of ANY site owner, why would anyone assume this. They are only concerned with what the average web user looking for information might find useful.

And just let me get this correct, the words of the self-described "Corrupt DMOZ Editor" are the gossipal to be believed? Makes perfect sense to me that everyone should believe what he/she said (over a year ago by the way).

The editor for that blog apparently is a bored individual who knows nothing about quality and others time taking to submit their site to DMOZ, hey, it's there blog, and with a PR4 I hope they get noticed with an insult to their name.

It's only a matter of time. Although I did of course know that a lot of DMOZ editors were like this, a lot of them only apply to say "yeah, I am a dmoz editor, bla bla bla, oh you want your site approved? one second...declined"

Pretty sad huh?...sorry to bash the person with the blog, but it's obvious you're making yourself look bad, but also DMOZ by declining almost one half of their submissions and then holding most of them for 18 months, nice touch!

Now you're copying my posts by having a 'stab at it'.

Yawn... and the above would be something in complete contrast I beleive to your own undeniable 'superiority complex' as a Dmoz critc towards editors ? I wish you wouldn't bother with the fancy shmancy links, no-one ever clicks on them. No-one visits here for your psychology lectures luv. Hate to burst your bubble

Again, I think we should get back on topic. I voice an opinion and Minstrel hijacks mostly.

A working example above of Minstrel's 'Always Getting the Last Word In' Syndrome. ;)
