I need help. My website, run by Joomla, got this error everytime I type mydomain.com in the browser. I can't access my site.

The requested URL /installation/index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It could be a number of things. First thing that comes to mind is something isn't right in your config files. Check and make sure passwords are correct domain name is correct etc in config.

configuration.php in public html most likely. You'll want to make sure $mosConfig_db = has the correct DB $mosConfig_live_site = the correct site $mosConfig_sitename = the correct site $mosConfig_smtphost = 'localhost'; I would check those first and then make sure your DB passwords are correct.

    Hi JMJ,

Is the database password the same password I used for installing Joomla?

It should be. But if you have changed the password on your hosting account it most likely changed your DB pass. This change wouldn't reflect in your config files.

    JMJ,

Can I ask you. Is the password for cPanel the same password for all databases in your account?

Yes, in most cases. When I change my Cpanel pass it also changes my DB passes.
