I just called xoom customer service and i was asking them about india. heres there statement from the supervisor. If you are from other country and will send xoom cash pickup/bank deposited the transaction will be cancelled. but if you are from INDIA and you will send xoom to someone that is not from india using paypal account it will be successful. And they said. they will be resuming payments in india this month. they will just have to give us an email!
Sending payments to other people outside India was never a problem. It is only withdrawals/remittance to India which has been problematic since last month or so. We hope like Paypal, Xoom is also able to resolve its differences with RBI and resume its 'India withdrawal' services soon.... as they do offer good exchange rates! Regards, RightMan
I called Xoom customer care now and they told they will not accpet Paypal and they even told that the Xoom withdrawls may start in May end or from June.
but their charges sucks man. I can't afford loosing $$ in front of my eyes. I was lucky last time that I found a discount code.
very true... compare their exchange rates to that of paypal without any fee and voila, you save more on Paypal
But Paypal asking more and more question daily and giving me much headache now these days as my account is still limited from 1 march. So we must need to find some other solution for our online payments like paypal. what you guys think?
