I have tried twice over 3 years to have WiredPages listed. I am wondering if my category selection is wrong? I am pretty sure I followed the guidelines last time, in as far as everything else, so I think it must be my selection of news that they feel is inappropriate? I want to get it right the next time. Heh...if you dont have what to do, please, dont do it here. When someone is seeking for help or information, he has to deserve this. I am still doubting why in every forum from ODP editors are expected to be kind, polite, and so on Would you please be so kind to provide us category name where you have submitted your site? Thanks a lot
Thanks all-- for pointing out the link problem. If it was unclear my question-- could the reason I am getting rejected be a bad category choice. I thought news. I call it a news service. Do you have suggestions for a better category-- I think the first time I put it under reference. Q...
Suggesting a website to the wrong category is very common. Whichever editor evaluates it will usually send it off to a better one if need be, where somebody else will process it further. ..and who said yours has been declined ?
It's quite possible (and I haven't looked at this particular site) that no editor has looked at your suggestion yet. I would just like to add that as a (quite likely) explanation for why the site hasn't appeared. In an ideal world, suggestions would be evaluated within a known amount of time. The reality as far as the ODP goes is that there are far more suggestions than volunteer editors to look at them, so things take long than most would like.
