    Nobody ever said anything about the new logo I made?

    Sure the voting can be manipulated. I made it that way on purpose so that people could vote their own sites to the top if they want. I want people to game the system. It levels the playing fields for the new sites just starting out and also brings the spam to the top where people will see it and report it. It's pretty genius I think.

    No more guessing or waiting for rankings to appear for months. Just submit a page from your site to any keyword you choose and vote it to the top and get instant traffic to your page for free. Whats wrong with that? I know it sounds too good to be true but it is true!

    I am out to help webmasters. Why should it be a struggle to promote a website? Well now it is not. You can't game something that wants to be gamed. This engine is smart in that the people run it. If you vote spam to the top then someone will report it. You can't game people for very long.

    No, I would love a free design and logo, but I was just thinking there has to be a catch. Most people don't do anything for free these days and when you find someone who will they usually have alterior motives.

    Mabey have just the search box on the first page with a little logo above it, and then underneath a little explaination of what makes the site special. Change the design and take out Google Ads until it gets popular.

    Well, the site only gets 300-500 searches a day right now so you may not see very big results but if it ever catches on, it could be an awesome resource for everyone. If webmasters supported it like they do google it would take off pretty quick.

    First thing you need is a "brandable" name.

    VNMM or whatever it was.... I can't even remember what the name of your SE is, I remember it was 4L though. I'd have to look back at your original post to see what I'm replying to.

    I do like it though - quick searches

    I would add adsense or some ppc "sponsored results". Heck all search engines have "Sponsored Results" on all pages....

    HAHAHA! I love it. One guy said I should lose the adsense until it gets popular. You tell me it needs adsense. I can't make everyone happy.... HAHAHA!

    I do plan on allowing other sites to use the results from it on their own sites one of these days for free. I will be working on that soon when I get time. Not sure how I'll do it though? Maybe I'll use RSS feeds and let people figure it out from there? Or maybe do some kind of brandable engine like google does? Or both?

    But before I do that I need to scale it up alot so it can handle the load.

    Also, you say the name is not brandable? dmoz.org is not very brandable but you remember it because it sends you traffic free. Vmgo.com is very easy to remember if you try to remember it. Just like you tried to remember dmoz.org when they got popular. But I had originally planned to change the name eventually.

    See what I mean? One guy likes the functionality, then the next guy don't? It would help more if I knew what parts of the functionality was good and what was bad.

    Just saying it has bad functionality tells me I need to trash the entire engine and start over from scratch. More details will help alot more.
