I was trolling through some deleted domains and found Facebookortwitter.com. I thought "that is cool" and snatched it up. After further thought I realized I don't have time to develop it, I have too many other projects going on. So, the question is, do I just sell the domain name or do I do a quick development on it and sell it as a site? Thoughts?
Well, the domain name has the advantage of being easy to remember. In case you are pondering what niche to use with the domain, I have a suggestion. Build a site that gives review for both facebook and twitter, comparing each one for advantages and drawbacks. You can make a blog, or a forum, or both. If it kicks off it will become a good review for people.
I had thought about creating a site selling twitter follower and Facebook likes because that seems like a hot thing right now, but once I develop the site I don't have the time to maintain it. I have decided to sell it, I just don't know if I just let the domain name go, or if I build a site on it and then sell it as a completed site.
If you don't have time to maintain the site then you probably won't have time to develop it from scratch. So better sell the domain. Anyway you need some quantity of traffic before you sell it, because it's hard to convince the buyer that the site has any value. And they may not like the way the site is designed from their point of view.
i think u should just try to sell the domain for whatever u can get for it. No point building a website and investing more time / money!
I am thinking that just selling it is going to be my best option. I just need to find a price and a buyer.
Thats the worst thing to so as it indicating bad faith, giving the TM holder more ammo against you, c'mon guys, this is basic stuff when it comes to domaining. Its actions like this that gives us the "squatters" label by other people Just stay away from other companies names, rather focus on making money off your own company rather than someone else's??
the name is a big time TM violation so you will have a hard time selling it to anyone. The only thing is I dont know which company would file a claim against it, facebook or twitter lol
