I bought a site but the previous owner was banned from adsense. Is it possible to use my current account for the site's adsense? Is this aloud?

They might help you out, as you have got your personal details attached to the domain (whois). This in a way will prove that you are not the person who was previously banned.

ya, i suggest contact google again.
You don't want to risk having your current google account ban as well.

Ya, contact google before putting ads on that site. Show them some proof that you bought, like transaction details...

And change the domain - whois details to your name now! Unless you get a confirmation, nope! dont take risk

I had an arcade site that was banned from adsense.
I send an email to google and I told them that I was the new owner of the site and I changed the public id from the ads.
Also I ask them to check my site if it was ok for adsense.
They answer that everything was ok and they didn't have any problem with me :)

You should explain that to Adsense and get their confirmation and keep their reply safe.

Personally I would say is it worth the risk of losing your whole account. I would switch the site to a new domain unless you invested a significant amount buying it.
