    hi guys

as the title says i bought this domain which is 5 yrs old and has 1500 backlinks..my question when i go to archive.org and see the historical pages..do i need to recreate all the old pages with the same names to take advantage of the backlinks? the pages are named like c0.htm, c1.htm..etc etc..no SEO in the page names...but the anchor text in all the backlinks are rich in keywords..

whats should i do? how should i approach this to take advantage. this site was used for selling computers/monitors, etc.

Thats a good buy. Do you mean take the whole content and put it back? If so yes use the same name, if you want to make a simple site with new content I would use the same name if you are sure they were linked from the outside. If the links are all going to root then it definitly doesnt matter. Just 301 redirect the 404 to root. Thats what I would do.

May I ask where you got this piece of gem?

all the backlinks go to all the subpages like www.mydomain.com/subpage.htm

so should i rebuild all the subpages but keep the same file names, or can i use some kind of redirect to for all the old links to point to a new page? how would i do that?

Yes you redirect them using a 301 redirect. Then those links wont be going to dead pages.
