Okay before you try to prove me wrong.. I've had good success with .com and .org domains but my info's always seem to fail!

For example I spent 3 months trying to get a .info to rank for "facebook stuff"
but nothing was working the site kept getting in the top 10 but was sandboxed repeatly.. Now I just bought a .org and try it agian and look!

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=facebook+stuff&btnG=Google+Search
adn there is no content on that domain! #1!

What a waste of time I spent on that fucking info. I should bought the .org to being with. btw that domain has been sitting at #1 for a week with no content.

If you scroll down to #6 thats my info..also What I'm not mentioning though is I did a 301 direct from the .info to the .org about a week ago and was slopy and left 2 duplicate sites. So I removed it.

Interesting. If the new org site stays up in top 10 after a few weeks you know for sure that it was domain.

yes I would be interested to see myself how long it will stay there. But hopefully I can get my host to help 301 it properly this time.

What's your info? I don't see the info version of your org anywhere.

all boils down to how long it can hold on to that position, by the way was that .info a dropped domain

    Nope,

Also here is another reason info's suck.
There higher chance directories owners will deny your link submission.
info's are blocked on myspace, info's *were blocked on msn chat.
    Anyone got anymore reasons?;)

That's why, it's not because of the extension (although i agree infos suck) it's because of the exact keyword match of the .org domain.

A domain facebookstuff.xyz will respond far better than facebooknotes.xyz when applying backlink anchor "facebook stuff" and vice versa.

I don't know if INFOs really got lower rankings but I think this is complately unfair from the Google's site. Think of the ORG being registered by your competitor? You would get mad because he gets higher rankings because he gave a couple of bucks more when registering it.

PS: There is a similar situation with EDU domains too. There are a lot more useful and school related COM sites than some full-of-spam EDUs, but why they should rank higher only because of it's extension?

TLDs doesn't matter unless you are targeting a specific region. IMHO!
