I begin to think whether having 1 keyword per adgroup is such as good idea

For those who may or may not be familiar with Amit Mehta from superaffiliatemindset.com, his PPC strategy is to first start your campaign with a 1 keyword per adgroup, 2 ads per adgroup structure with going broad/wide, once you find which keyword brings good traffic and converting, then you go deep in finding variations of that root keyword.

He illustrated the example of digging keyword for antispyware.

Most affiliates/PPC marketers will start getting keywords like

    anti-spyware
    free anti-spyware
    anti spyware softwares
    free antispyware softwares

etc et, which are all fall into the same narrow root of anti-spyware which are highly competitive and limiting your traffic.

    Instead, you should go after keywords like;
    delete malware
    delete spyware
    delete trojan
    delete backdoor
etc etc etc you name it. and make each of these keyword as its own 1 keyword highly relevent adgroup AT the Very Start.

This isn't a bad idea, however, this will make literally 1000s of adgroups and even more ad copys.

I have tested to see if this is a good method. So i made my campaign structure such as way with the nice little tool of EfficientPPC.

Well, with all that said, I uploaded my 1000s of adgroups yesterday. And guess what my affiliate manager from CPAEmpire emailed me this morning saying he's see considered amount of traffic into one offer but no conversion. I looked at both my campaign stats and cpaempire stats, I have 4000+ clicks to my offer and no clicks to my ad in my ppc campaign (i did direct linking to test out the offer first)....strange I thought.

Late I figured it is most likely due to the google bot crawling my ad when I launched my campaign to check the relevency of my landing page. Because i'm doing direct link, all the bots go to the merchant offer.........

Well, I don't know if it is going to get some trouble with the merchant or not..But having 1 keyword per adgroup with thousands of adgroups?? I really don't know if it's a good thing to do or not...

i don't think it's against their rules. As long as your display url match with destination url. If i were you i wouldn't do i-frame. That will ruin your account..
