Spam is illegal. everyone hates spam. What about spam on our telephone, what about spam in our mail. Everywhere is spam spam spam. Laws should be written so at least we can save some trees or even, (god for bid), we get a good nights sleep without someone trying to sell us something.
Sorry but I guess Im just blowing of some steem......lol

Have you ever registered for the "do not call" list? (https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx) Since I did a few years ago, I have not received one phone call from a solicitor....and I used to receive several each day.

I use the do not call list also. I still get calls from politicans and some groups i gave donations to but i get less calls.

You should use it and if anyone calls tell them your on the list. They can be fined if they call again.

Spam does suck but don't fall into the same excuse to "save trees" paper company's have purposely bought land to grow trees on, so they can cut them down and replant them. They are not just cutting them down, and moving on!

Actually there is a loophole that the solicitors are now using. Instead of calling you up and trying to sell you junk that you don't need now they are phoning you as a "survey company". If you decide to answer their survey they will ask you some junk questions and then ask if they can do a follow-up call. If you say yes you are giving permission for them or any company that they sell their information to the right to call you, and it's perfectly legal even according to the Do Not Call list.

    Beware beware beware!

Thanks for sharing that - I'll be sure to hang up on any "survey companies" trying to bother me

I am also on the "do not call" list. I guess it has worked a little; but I imagine its impossible for the gov't to go after every solicitation company. Problem with caller id is that if its a "private" caller, most of the time I answer it since many of my friends show up as private.
