Well first of all, it may have something to do with site design. It may be that search engines are unable to index your website. This is especially common if you use frames, or use flash/javascript for any part of your navigation.

Secondly, you need to pick a few keywords that people are searching for, and then try to use that variation of the keyword.

Keyword and description meta tags, as well as your title can be important to every part of your site.

Also, make sure that your code is valid, and semantic (if you need help with this, you can go to the html forum to get help with the code there).

Also, be aware that link exchanges can actually HURT you in the search engines, as can getting links from sites that the search engines dislike.

The best way to start your SEO is to create a clean, valid, semantic site with good content and information. That head start right there will be one of the best things you can do to improve your ranking in the search engines.

make sure you are not keyword bombing also...using the same to many times can end up hurting you...figure out what keyword is giving you the most traffic, and the monopolize on that keyword...even if that is not what your site is about, it is what is giving you the most traffic. Also, are you using H1 and H2 tags? That could help. Finally, make sure you visit the directories section and the freebies section and get yourself some backlinks, as that will help your ratings also.

Right. If you're using so many keywords that your users would go "Why the heck is he using so many keywords?" then you've used to many.

2 months is short for SEO, try waiting for more months and you may get the results you have waited for.

The problem is that you have a lot of good competition. You need to stand out somehow, or narrow your focus.:)

Have you already started link building. The more you get links pointing to your site the highest possibility that your site can get visitors. Have you try joining social bookmarking site? It can boost your traffic. Optimized your site with your targeted keywords and work hard to put it on top of SERP to get traffic.

you need bot on-page and off-page optimization. from what you said, you only did a on-page (you didnt mention about keywords, title and metatag so i assume you have n't done it yet.)
try do more onpage optimize build more back links and i think your ranking will be fine.
you also need to wait for a while till you can see a results of the ranking. so be patience.

You really should have good page content as close to the top of the page. Your images and links is what the search are seeing first.
I would move your links down pictures and your important page content for the search engines at the top.

If you need some help, I can run a SEO report on your web site.
Just send me a PM, and I will check it out.

A lot of search engines consider link exchanges and certain link directories to be "Bad neighborhoods" and will actually hurt your ranking if you list with them.

i hope that admins will not ban me... my url is: http://www.music-juice.com i have keywords and metatags... but now that i am looking i think i need to rework my kewords strategy.. as they are repeating too many times... and the lenght of them is about 1245 characters instead of 255 maximum allowed... the thing is that in the front page... my kewords are added from all the articles... so by adding each and every keyword that i choose for each article.. i get a very enormous list of keywords... but if i remove them.. then when i will loose the keywords for every article by itself... to see what i mean.. watch the source of the front page and then check the source of an article.. and u will understand what i am talking about... i don't know how to fix this yet...! by the way.. my site is a Joomla based one.. forgot to mention... so lots of mambots there.. hope to hear back from all of u.. thank u all for giving me such great hints.. but i kind of knew some of them...

Google doesn't pay any attention to the keywords meta tag.

Reducing the META keywords / description helps :) It will increase the density of your targeted keywords.

The next thing to improve on is the title. Try to include the keywords you target in the titles. Few people will search for music juice IMO..

Lastly, I did not find any header tags in your site. Headers like H1 and H2 helps greatly in SEO.

    Good luck!

Your in a very competitive market, your obviously not ranking for any important keywords thats why you are not getting any traffic, your not showing up in the top results. Your site is nice though :) Just keep working at it and building more links.

If your site is about music news then I can tell you exactly what your problem is. Yahoo is showing you with about 108 inbound links and there are 557 million competing pages for 'music news'...

Basically you are competing in an insanely competitive category and you've got no real number of links to speak of.

You can follow all the suggestions for better on page optimization 'till the cows come home' and it won't make a fig of difference.

If you want to be effective in the search engines for this sort of category then you've got a Herculean link building task on your hands. Many of your competitors in the top 10 spots have between 10,000+ links and 400,000+ links.

    You have 108.

You will either need to get one hell of a link building budget, or get a lot more focused and start pursuing micro niches within this topic.

    Best wishes...
